Simple To Do List Print Out

Do you have lists all over the place?

One of the common denominators I have noticed with most of my clients is that they have multiple to do lists scattered about in notebooks, paper pads, sticky notes, etc. After talking with some of them, it comes from a desire to always start fresh so they will often only use a couple pages in one notebook or journal or pad of paper and then move onto another one the next time they decide to write a list.

 

Single Sheet Solution: A solution that may help with this is to stop using notebooks and just use a clean, fresh single sheet of paper each day. That way you can write your list, check things off as you complete them and then throw out the paper when you are done. And then you can start a new list the very next day.

 

One Running List: I keep 1 running list and then every morning or as needed, I transfer what still hasn’t been completed to a new list and start again. I keep both immediate priorities as well as longer term projects and everything in between on that 1 list.

 

No Order! Don’t go for perfection! As soon as you start organizing your list into sections or feeling the need to write it in order of priority, you start overthinking it and may get overwhelmed or feel like you need to start again or come up with a new plan, etc. and then you’re off down the rabbit hole! Just forget about all that and list things as you think about them.

 

Priorities: Then you can star⭐ or highlight the priorities after you have a list.

 

Check Boxes: I like check boxes ☑️ to mark what I have completed, but you can line through, highlight or do whatever you like, but have a consistent method. Keep it simple.

 

Print-Outs: Here are 3 different versions of a simple check-off box list I created to accomodate different preferences and writing sizes, a 20, 30 and 40 line version.
